Every year, thousands of young women age out of foster care with no safe place to go. Many end up homeless, caught in abusive relationships, or trapped in cycles of drugs and exploitation. The truth is, once they turn 18, most are left completely on their own with nowhere stable to live and no guidance for building a future.
At Living in Hope Ministries, we refuse to let their story end there. Through the Tiny Houses of Hope project, we are creating a village of safe, transitional homes paired with a 12-month life skills program. These young women will receive housing, steady employment opportunities, faith-based mentorship, and practical coaching that equips them to thrive on their own. Founded by Tricia DeBoer, Living in Hope Ministries is launching the Tiny Houses of Hope project to bridge the gap from foster care to adulthood.
This is not just about building houses—it’s about rebuilding lives. Our goal is to raise $2 million to make this vision a reality. Every gift helps provide a roof, a mentor, and a future filled with hope and purpose in Christ.
You can help break the cycle. You can give a young woman a safe home, a community, and a second chance at life. Give now.
$10, $20 or even $40 a month makes a huge difference.
REBUILDING LIVES
LIVING IN HOPE MINISTRIES STRIVES TO GIVE HOPE, ENCOURAGEMENT, EDUCATION, AND A SAFE SPACE TO YOUTH AGING OUT OF THE FOSTER CARE SYSTEM THAT ARE DESPERATELY IN NEED.
OUR VISION IS TO OFFER PHYSICAL, SPIRITUAL AND EMOTIONAL SUPPORT TO GIRLS BY THE VARIOUS SERVICES OFFERED AS PART OF THE 12 MONTH PROGRAM.
One of our main goals is to fulfill housing in a tiny home village. Through showing unconditional love and compassion, we will provide a place where youth can grow into the adults God is calling them to be.
Projects our youth will engage in will help reinforce positive social skills. Core activities include creating a community garden to learn healthy teamwork and provide for our tiny home residents. Our heart is to solidify a community atmosphere as residents come together to care for the garden.
Living in Hope Ministries aims to partner with local physicians, educators and counselors in order to ensure both physical and emotional health are cared for during the 12-month program.
Finances, parenting, cooking, gardening, and business classes are among the first few ideas of how we can set individuals up for hope and success that will reach well beyond the program.
